With the pre – season friendly out of the way the 1st official fixture of the footy season took place on Tuesday 8th k.O. 7:00 pm.
The oldies showed there experience as they stormed to a 5 games to zero lead which with only 4 more footy weeks to go seems uncatchable. game scores as follows.

With the ever green Greatorex and Burgess leading the line , and sharing the goal scoring duties, it was left to youngies skipper Strangeways to concede “our boys took a hell of a beating, I say a hell of a beating”.
